We are all masterpieces in the making
- Mother Teresa
Hello!
It has been a long time since I have updated my website. Being busy doing what you love is a gift. I am also lucky to be blessed with children to visit around the country and a home studio where I can paint.
I recently visited daughters that live in the Denver area. Allison lives in the mountains and has a beautiful mountain view off her deck. Wouldn't you rather paint this view rather than write about it on a computer?
I have been able to travel, teach at art retreats, and teach classes in my home studio. Recently, I submitted an art card to a local contest where the theme was Winter in the City. It was sponsored by MHopple & CO in the Cincinnati area. I was the winner which is quite a boost to my mindset. The best part is that some proceeds go to the Queen City Book Bank , a non profit that provides new books to students in the Cincinnati area through their schools. By the end of the school year each child will have their own collection of books for their home. I volunteer weekly, gather collections together and inventory books for the program, so it is dear to my heart.
My card, along with others, will be packaged and sold soon at the Hopple company store.

As the new year begins, you might have made a resolution to be more creative and adventurous. Maybe I can help you with that. I am adventuring to open a Saturday morning acrylic painting class in my home. It will cover basics of acrylic painting skills, setting up a palette, tips on making an harmonious painting, delving into collage materials, trying different paint mediums, texture, composition and more. You will step into the world of abstract and contemporary florals and complete a painting or two in 4 weeks.
The 4 classes will be held at my home studio at 2997 Country Woods Ln. Cincinnati, OH. 45248 in Green Township. My studio is a lower level room where we have plenty of elbow room. I am limiting class size to 6.
Dates are Saturday Jan. 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18. Times are 9:30 - 12:00.
Cost $120, includes everything you need to complete two 16" x 20" contemporary, abstract floral canvas paintings. Bring your morning beverage of choice to get you started for this morning class and step into the creative world of acrylic painting.
Call (513) 205-3382 to reserve your space or for questions.
Below are some contemporary florals I have painted to give you an idea of what to expect.
So proud of my students who were not afraid to venture into acrylic painting. Some used combinations of stencils, painted tissue paper , rice paper, Posca paint pens and oil pastel. There were three students that I didn’t get pictures of their work and their painting were just as fabulous.
